Removing stains from faux cream leather?

We are moving soon and our new flat is unfurnished, so we went to a carboot sale this morning to see what was about. We managed to get some quite nice dining room chairs, which look a bit like a cross between the 1st and 3rd picture cream chairs -

However, the leather stuff has some marks on (like dye from clothing has gone onto it). It's not too bad but if I can clean them up I'd like to.

Sooo...any one have any ideas of how to get it off?

I find the leather cleaner or vinyl cleaner if it is not real leather, that you get for cars (Halfords sell it) is pretty good at cleaning marks off. We also have the leather wipes but they don't clean other than superficial dirty marks.

Shaving foam works well but I would recommend you spot test underneath anything just incase you make it worse
