Did anyone else get spammed by the Hamster Club in the US today - or was it just me who was the lucky one?

No, I have received nothing from anywhere?!
Maybe you were just unlucky?

Well, I was using 'lucky' ironically . 'Unlucky' is more true to fact.

I was wondering whether they'd broken in to the Forum or whether they've just located me through the book site. Must be the latter. I get spammed *all* the time - I even have a weekly subscription to a 'Meals For You' Newsletter - aimed at old people, I think!

ahhh yes, irony, I remember it, I gave up using it around 5 years ago - its not big in my social circle (yes that said ironically)

It may well be because of the book Arlev - though how the 'meals on wheels' type newsletter would have searched Ive no idea

The spam I get with one of my email accounts is not so innocent as yours appears to be, although again, it goes in stages, nothing for months then I am offered lots of ways of improving equipment I dont even own in the first place! I tend to just not use that account any more, its so annoying!

Hope you get to the bottom of it anyway - and sorry, rather than me not understanding your comment in the first post, it was more me going into my email to check, and then forgetting exactly what you wrote!

Absolutely no need to apologize - it's all written in good humour.

Sometimes spammers use my email address as the 'sender's address', too!

And I've had *those* kind of emails, too, that you mention - when our hamsters had their own email addresses, they got them, too. Some of their offers made me laugh (if only they knew who they were writing to).

And that's enough said on that topic <cough>...

We had nothing either. Though we do get lots of the other type that Spud's mum also gets plus others which would have me a major gambler before you could wink!

I had this great idea...

...because they spammed me, I wrote back saying that, if they carried details of our hamster book, they could receive commission-based sales.

Guess what?

They want a free copy to review it first! No way, Jose...
