Default Which instant coffee??

This is going to sound a little mad I know but can anyone recommend me a good brand of instant coffee???

My years in London (I'm originally from Lancashire) have obviously turned me into a horrible snob as I don't drink instant myself - and I'm pretty pick what coffee I drink full stop (there are two Starbucks near my office and one of my team went out to get the coffees and I told him off when he came back as he went to the "wrong" Starbucks....I can taste the difference between the two shops! He thought he'd fool me, ha!) Yes I know - I need shooting!

Anyway my Dad and his partner/girlfriend are coming to stay for a long weekend from tomorrow and they drink coffee like its going out of fashion. Last time they visited just overnight and I made lattes/cappuccinos from my Gaggia pretty non-stop and I'm hoping to avoid that this time - if only because we go through a lake of milk! They just drink instant at home so I thought it'd be easier to give them instant...but I've no idea what the best brand is to buy....and being a snob, I do of course want to buy the best.

Please feel free to all give me a kicking at Blenheim.

Oooh - you'd better bring your own supply to Blenheim then!!! Pete usually just brings Asda value instant coffee for our little refreshments corner. He thinks I'm a bit of a snob because I bring a jar of Nescafe with me!

I like carte dor and also a freetrade called (I think) Cap colombe but its just all so personal..
(shhh - dont tell anyone, but I know someone whose idea of coffee heaven is.....mellow birds )

edit 1 hee hee have flu brain - meant fairtrade rather than free trade!

edit number 2 - I meant carte noir this is getting embarrassing - think I need to sleep as brain is just not functioning!

Isnt carte d'or wine though?? Oh in that case, yes, my fave coffee is definitely carte d'or

I've kind of hedged my bets and went for a little jar of Nescafe Gold Blend, and a bag of Lyons coffee bags....that will at least get them through tomorrow and I can weigh up its going. Worse case, it'll be me back as barista on the Gaggia knocking out lattes again!

I think I'd better bring my Vimto to Blenheim then (hot Vimto, yum! Now that's the Lancashire in me coming out)...I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone but I'm not sure I can sink quite as low as Asda Smart Price coffee.
