Maybe you need to pop in and see the doc Bunsey. They may have something to ease the muscle spasm and allow you to get some pain relief. I hope it suddenly goes though. Poor you

the trouble is, i'm so overweight that i just get a lecture every time i set foot in there. When i was 13 i got sciatica (can't spell that!) and i was only about a stone or 2 stone overweight and he had a go at me and sent me home with ibuprofens and a diet plan. i dread to think what they'd say to someone about 7 stone overweight who goes in with a bad back

Oh Bunsey You are exaggerating! You dont look fat to me. I think if your back needs attention you really should go. Big D got Valium for a few days as apparently it is a muscle relaxant and allows you to start moving and easing the muscles out very slowly but you need a doc to check it out. It could be a trapped nerve or something. Make that appointment

slight exageration there maybe Bunsey? I wouldn't even class you as any more than 'cuddly'. If you are 7 stone overweight then I am afraid I am one of those people who needs to have a wall removed every time I leave the house!

...hate to think what that makes me!
go to the docs and just let ur pain turn to anger a quick snarled message that a diet will not help the pain and damage now usually shuts them up.
maybe some voltarol would help you, and other such drugs. with that kind pain i would go to our hospitals drop in clinic thing, which is there for those in emergency pain thats not quite a&e worthy, they tend to just deal with the problem at hand. my neurologist said to go there rather than doctors when i am bad, as GP's can be hesitant, which could cause many issues. if you are then worried about getting the treatment you need thats the same thing, you could do harm not seeking advice, so for us go, and remember we all on ur side.

Hi Bunsey sorry to hear about your back, backs are no fun are they I know how you feel I suffer with mine. I really hope it settles done but you may need to see someone about it though. Osteopath or chiropractor might be worth a try.
