Plastikote
Just a few questions before I order some ...
1) Does it smell - in otherwords, would I need to do it outside?
2) How long does it take to dry?
3) Which is the best one to use - spray on or paint on? And in terms of "finish" which is best - I haven't fully looked at the plastikote but as it's paint I'd assume it comes in Matte etc ...
4) Can anyone reccomend some nice colors?? I don't think it's possible to get samples, and pictures online aren't always the exact color due to screen brightness, flash on camera etc ...
5) Where is the best to get it - in otherwords, where is the cheapest place!
6) How much do I need to order?
7) How many coats do you use?
8 ) ... I can't remember this question lol

Re: Plastikote
1) the spray on is horrible to breathe in, so do it outside. Brush on isn't so bad.
2) at least 24 hours. Wait until its not tacky and not smelly.
3) enamel is the one you want. Others at like chrome/stone effect. Spray on looks tidier but covers less, takes longer to dry, absolutely stinks and floats around painting everything.
4) from experience i'd say the real colours look a bit darker than on screen but are fairly accurate.
5) ocassional bargains on eBay, amazon is decently priced, but Wilkos is the cheapest (no postage costs)
6) depends what you're painting. 2 spray cans for one 12" wheel. Or probably 1 brush on.
7) at least 2/3. Wait until you get an even colour. Allow 30 mins ish between coats. And to make it easier to clean you may as well use it up - more coats = easier cleaning.
