Re: Where do your hammies go in the ball?
Cupcake managed to escape during one the ball sessions and hid behind a freezer. Ever since then she always runs to the freezer when I put her in the ball but it's secured with tape now

Tidy's favourite place to run to is the bathroom, or under the sofa, and when he goes quiet for a while he is usually to be found in a corner somewhere either washing or eating the food he had pouched up earlier

Re: Where do your hammies go in the ball?
Tonight's been my new hamster's first ever expedition in the exercise ball.
But I've found Sherlock's favourite place to go is around my feet as annoying as it is, haha. I'm scared I'll kick him by accident.

Squeak didn't like her ball, so I gave it to the local charity shop. I must get a rat sized one for Peanut. Both are getting used to the pen tho

Re: Where do your hammies go in the ball?
It depends, if they are on the tiles (where they are supposed to be) they roll a bit but mostly go back and forth. If they are on the carpet (when mommy is naughty because daddy isn't home ) they go all over the house. It's like they know to take advantage of the freedom.

My little guy explores for a few minutes and then follows me around. If I'm sitting on the floor, he stays butted up against me. So sweet!

Re: Where do your hammies go in the ball?
Hahaa.
When i had dwarfs i put them in the same ball and they pretty much stayed where i put them as they tried going in different directions (funny when they run together and one stops but the other doesn't)
My old hamsters used to chase the pets out of the room, my dog got pretty annoyed and tried to bit the ball and my hamster flew across the room (he went straight back to hitting her in the legs, she then just began ignoring him - or trying)
I've only had Austin for a week and he's been in his ball 3 times; he just sits anywhere (usually be the tv) and grooms himself, i also caught him chasing the dog the other day. He doesn't seem to fond of the ball compared to the others but i'm determined to ware him out as the wheel keeps me up at night.
