Unhappy Guinea pig scrap...

After getting 3 female girls all from P@H they started to fight at first so we separated one which i know sounds mean but she was jumping on top of the small one (oreo) so we didn't have a choice... After being lonely we decided to reintroduce her which again sounds bad but it suprisingly worked really well and they havent had a fight since!

After that we decided to adopt 2 male guinea pigs so we were searching the internet and found a very good guinea pig adoption charity in Leeds so we went and adopted 2 male guinea pigs and when we got home they started being really aggressive towards each other (at this stage we thought it was normal) we left it a few days and it just got worse! one of them had pulled some of the other ones fur out! painful I know but lucky it wasnt more! We are going to contact the lady we purchased them from and ask her why but the weird thing is they 'week' every time they are taken apart from each other as if to say 'don't seperate us!' even if it's just a few seconds of being apart, so we don't know what to do! Even the descrition written on the website said 'we have a strong bond' any suggestions o why they are acting this way would be appreciated
Thanks

Oh and also they only chunter their teeth and bully each other when we are in the room and they act like BFFS when they don't know we are there!

my 2 male guinea pigs are exactly the same Hun.

they can be fine with each other all day then have the odd scrap, i did the same as you tried to separate and then went mad with continuous squeaking and going mad until i eventually put them back together.

(i got both of them from gum tree)

from what i've read i think boys are more prone to fighting and a guinea pig rescue i called rec having them neutered and then bonding them with a female.

both boys with a female each in a sep hutch.
it's so difficult i feel the same as you at the moment xxx

Yeah when we got our boys they were very.... like that for a while Eventually, Brussels became lead pig and Sprout's now fine with it. Give them a few weeks and they'll hopefully be be okay.

Thanks With the girls it changes everyday haha! The funniest things is when little oreo tries to stand up to big Ruby and Millie just sits there and watches them (I must say Millie is a completely dopey guinea pig!)
