Thumbs up The power of a pet...

I don't think I've said much about my children here. My son (he'll be 3 in September) is delayed in his speech. He couldn't say much at all up until 5-6 weeks ago, which was when he started saying a few select words. Only 3 weeks ago did he start putting 2 words together.

He had his wellness check-up (u7a in Germany) and failed the hearing test...to be expected with his speech delay. He was sent to the ENT for further testing. The doctor looked and said he wanted him to get grommets fitted and his adenoids removed (snoring) he just had the operation last week on wednesday.

The change didn't happen instantly...to be expected. I was thinking in a few months we'd see a real difference.

Well today as we were messing about with Daisy's cage, Fynn was sitting next to the base and talking to Daisy (in her house) to try and persuading her to come out. Her ball with a bell is in the base. He kept moving the ball to make the bell ring.

We told him, "Daisy is sleeping".

He said "Daisy come out, Play a ball Peez!"

I had to get a photo of them for that moment to be kept forever.

How beautiful and handsome is your family! I just love this picture and the focus they have on each other.

Just an FYI: My nephew had the same issues as a toddler and we were afraid that his hearing, snoring, lack of sleep, and speech delays would effect his learning and he'd be diagnosed with a learning disability. Not the case at all. Once the tubes went in and the adenoids went out, the change was pretty immediate. He's now a strong, strapping boy of eight, so talented in art and design, gets about average grades, and is quite the "lady-killer." Hope my little story helps somehow.
