Question DIY necklace (Help please?)

I know this is a ham forum but you guys are really creative and I need a bit of..help?

I'm planning on making a pendent necklace with a 'home-made' tile-pendant like this

But I'm pretty much beyond lost and I don't want to mess it up and it's gonna be for someone special and that's why I'm hand-making it

I can't use resin because I know I'll screw it up, and I've seen people use Diamond glue but I'm honestly curious if I could just use a normal dry-clear glue or such or not even use the top coating and blah I'm rambling but I'm a bunch confused xD

Well aside from my .. pendent confusion

I'm not sure if I would want to make it a chain or a ribbon for the lace part. I'm probably gonna use a bedded metal-chain for it though.

Any ideas/tips or such? I'm using my own artwork for the picture of it.

Thanks guys ><

Clear nail varnish? I use that to make my fimo all shiney.

Hey Trixafena2,

I have just made some necklaces and cuff-links for my family as presents, but I made the pendents out of glass that I fused together.

I have just used plain silver chains for mine, but my Grandma (who's workroom I used to make them, she is a crafty lady) also uses these cord chains for hers.

I agree with Santi's idea to use clear nail varnish to make them shiny, but they would still look good without it

Just asked my Grandma for other good chains and she suggested: Art, Craft and Design Supplies - Fred Aldous

Apparently they are really good quality and value

I will also post a picture of the things I have made later Just waiting for the glue to dry

This My ex used to make necklaces out of dominos, she tried PVA glue but clear nail varnish was the best at forming a resistant clear coating

How about printing a picture then transferring it to polymer clay (like fimo). There's a few videos on YouTube about it- just search for 'how to transfer images onto polymer clay'.
