free style poetry help!?

so, i have a week to complete my projects before school starts again. And, anyways, i have to write a free style poem on something pertaining to greek mythology (situations or characters). So, while it seems simple... i just can get things to flow the way poetry should.

heres one im stuggling to do:

Pandora

A girl made of clay
sent down to earth to be wed
her husband held the key
to her greatest curiosity

A heavy box
filled with the great unknown
she couldn't resist its charm
and soon knew of its harm

out flew evil, sickness, disease and hate
hot tears she did cry at her own ill fate
but alas, the box was not yet empty
one thing it did hold
a simple thing
a lovely thing
a thing we call hope



So if anyone could help me fix it (or a whole new one) id be very appreciative. im no good at poetry what so ever, but my grades are important to me.

I'm not good at stuff like that, but I'd replace "married" with "wed" and try to redo the last line of the second stanza (paragraph). Those are the bits that I found jarred a bit with the rest of it.

haha.. well.. its helpful my talents (whatever they may be) definitely aren't in poetry! its making me nervous, because ill have to read this to th class.

Oh don't worry, I really think it will be fine. I used to get myself SO worked up about doing anything in front of class but I always ended up with great grades and my teachers would be like "And what were you so nervous about?" I think we freak ourselves out more than necessary!
