I knit or read a book. Sometimes we take a portable dvd player and headphones to watch movies on. It'll be awesome! Have a wonderful time!

I'm doing a lone flight on the 4th too, also about 8hours. I've sorted my iPod out with tunage, downloaded lots of books onto my kindle and yesterday I bought a new cross stitch pattern to do, which will also keep my hands busy because I'm one of those filthy smokers

I've also just found out tonight that my best friend who I am meeting (she's travelling), is on a later internal flight, so I arrive 5 hours before her and will need to make my own way to the hostel! Eeeek, but also exciting!

Where are you flying to?

I've just done a lone flight, i'm 15 and it was 14hrs total with a plane transfer halfway >_< I'm alive lol, so you'll be fine My first flight alone (the worst was the exchange, i was scared i'd end up in like..australia..) and it wasn't awful. I'm glad i'm coming back with my family though!
I stupidly left my book at home but they all have those little screens so i ended up sleeping 4 hours and watching 4 films lol. The rest eating or playing tetris (on the screen) or playing hangman with the chinese girl next to me.. didn't go too well. She understood about 5 words of english! No idea what i'm going to do on the way back, i doubt they change the films so i'll be watching rubbish!

I have to admit I've been known to take a Benadryl or 2 and try to go to sleep. But admittedly I haaaaaaate flying so I try to stay unconscious through it. But otherwise, snacks and books or magazines usually get me through it!

I'm 24 and I flew alone for the first time this past year so don't feel bad! I was nervous but everything was fine, even with the extremely rude gate attendant. It sounds like a direct flight which is even easier, you only have to go gate hunting once and no worries about late connections.

I sleep too. I don't know what it is about planes but they always send me straight to sleep. I even slept for practically the whole of a 23 hour flight from Australia.

I'm going to stay with my dad in America for a week , Ive not spent time with just my dad and step mum like ever I've always taken a friend when we've gone to centre parcs and the family holidays I've always had a sibling with me , so that makes me nervous as well. It should be nice though a specially because of the neighbourhood pool

I'm also generally awkard person so I'm just gonna b sitting being awkard , but I figure because my dad lives over there at the age of fifteen its time for me to try , I haven't been on a plane since I was12 so hopefully it's less scary then it was then. Makes me feel quiet grown up really
