Default New Camera - Yippee!

With new babies on the way what better time to get a new camera - is what I've been thinking for a while!

My current camera is a (perfectly good but old) Canon Ixus V3 that I've had for nearly five years. It's so easy to use that I've shied away from getting a new one - despite the fact that it's 3.1 mega pixels seems decidedly rubbish in today's world.

Well today I was in Tesco's looking at cameras - I've had my eye on the Canon Ixus V7 for a while and Tesco have reduced it from £170 to £125. I was dithering - and dithering over it when I suddenly noticed a special offer pack - the Ixus V7 that I want as well as the Canon Selphy compact printer ..............for the astonishing price of £99.97

Needless to say I didn't resist that and I'm the proud owner of a new (tiny!) camera. My son will have a surprise when he gets home as he can have the old one

Look out for some much better quality (I hope!) piccies from me soon :P

I bought Mark that camera for his birthday. It takes great pictures.
I don't use it though because knowing me I'll break it and its not mine.
That's a very good price, I paid a lot more than that....

Look at you, you bargain hunter!!!

Well done...I had a Canon Ixus (before it was stolen) and thought it was a great camera.

I look forward to seeing all the photos...don't be shy!

Looking forward to seeing the babies in clear pic mode! Pophammy swears by the Canon Ixus and is now on her second.
I have a pentax which I use when on holiday as it is waterproof!

Thanks guys, I've had a little try of it this afternoon and it seems straightforward to use. The pictures were incredibly clear, even in poor light. I'm looking forward to using it properly

can't wait to see pics! what a great reason to post some gorgeous photos!

what annoys me about my camera, is that it is SO slow. when you press the button it takes forever to take a photo and then the ham has moved!
