Good Hamster Books?
I'll be ordering some books from Amazon or Thriftbooks soon and I want to get some Hamster books. I want some books for research for when I publish my hamster book or books.
So do you know any good hamster books out there?

I don't know if you can get it in the US, but Hamsterlopaedia is a good book to have (although some bits are a tad outdated)

I don't think I've heard of that one. I'll check if I can get it over here.

Re: Good Hamster Books?
I can get it from Amazon for a little under $10. I'll put Hamsterlopaedia on my list of books to consider.

Re: Good Hamster Books?
Another vote for Hamsterlopaedia here! I have a collection of over 30 hamster books (oops!) and that's the only one that doesn't have incorrect information in it, especially about dwarves. It may not be full of pretty pictures but it's thorough, including hamster anatomy, physiology, genetics, health as well as care and breeding. True it doesn't have all the new standards and colours in it, but it is a few years old now.

Re: Good Hamster Books?
Three votes for Hamsterlopaedia then, I guess I'll move it to the get list. It's more expensive than some of the other hamster books but I haven't seen all the things Hamsterlopaedia covers in other books.

Re: Good Hamster Books?
I've heard good things about "The Hamster Handbook (Barron's Pet Handbooks)" by Patricia Bartlett. It's available on Amazon, as well

Re: Good Hamster Books?
another vote for hamsterlopaedia! its well worth the money even just to go in the hammy first aid box! everything you need to know is in there, it is out dated with the new syrian and robo colours, but its still well worth the money! I found it invaluable!!!!
