how did you resize your avatars so small?!
I have been playing around with photos suitable for an avatar, both with Paint and Photoshop but can't get my images under the 6kb size limit Help!!

I put mine onto photobucket and resized it there- there's an avatar option (at least I think that's what I did )

For this particular forum I did mine on here because I just couldn't get it small enough any other way.

Okay, why won't the site you gave the link to let me resize my pic to an avatar
My pics are jpgs so surely it should work. What am I doing wrong

Hmm you should just need to browse for the picture to resize on your PC, and then set the maximum pixels for the avatar.
Then it will resize it

Yep, thats what I am doing but it keeps saying it does not recognise the format - but they are all jpgs

Do not save EXIF (it adds a few kBs), save in something about 90 % JPEG quality - smaller easily decreases image quality and higher create often too large files.
