How much food can your hammy store in their mouth?

Today, I saw Vinnie store a whole apple stroodle in her mouth, 2 little veggie sticks and a few chocolate drops. I was like, how much can she eat?!..however, when I watched this:

I didn't think Vinnie was that bad after all! Haha

It's truly amazing how much food some hams seem to fit into their pouches.when Cookie had her old cage,she'd "stock up" and then try and squeeze down a tube and couldn't fit ...it was very entertaining to watch xx

Im sure i read somewhere that hamsters can pouch up to 3 times of the hamsters weight? Dont know if its true or not though

It always amazes me when Luna properly fills her pouches, their pouches go right down to the shoulders.

This is Luna with her pouches almost full, she can fit more in though, seen her to the point where she's got stuff sticking out of her mouth

Hahaha oh wow! I just saw her take it all out of her mouth later on too. She looked like she was massaging her cheeks at first until food started coming out of her mouth too. She's stocking them all up where she's been sleeping as well lol

The can carry a lot! I have heard up to 8x body weight and mothers in the wild can pouch a whole litter of pups to carry them to a new nest if threatened!
