no, you havent made him sound totally wild, just a cat with a definite personality!

My Fred is the same, she acts a lot of the time like we abuse her and kick her, I put my hand down to stroke her and she'll shoot off like I've strangled her sometimes! But then sometimes, she'll come and sit on my knee and purr until she actually drools all over me (mmm nice )

I'm glad he's been having a cuddle this afternoon, hoipefully that has given you some chance to reassure yourself he hasn't any major injuries. And lets hope he does learn by his mistake, and become a fireside cat overnight (not sure that it will happen though! )

Our old cat came from a farm and she used to be a nightmare to take to the vets or give medication too. Our poor vet probably still has the scars from some of Suki's visits. The rest of the time she was just a soft affectionate 'pussy cat'.
Harry sounds like a lovely cat with a lot of character. Hopefully he will be give cars a wide berth from now on.

I'm so glad things have worked out OK - it must have been very frightening for you both.

Where I used to stay they had a rescued feral cat, and her wild side remained at times - although when she was calling (in season) she became hyper-affectionate. It's good that Holly will curl up on you.

Now that it appears Harry is a little better I thought I would share with you something I found and and immediately thought of your 'personality' cat Julie. Its a cat Haiku

So you call this thing
Your "cat carrier." I call
These my "blades of death.

One of those "I saw this and thought of you" moments for Harry!
