Re: Ipad
They are very good, but bear in mind there are some things you can't do with an ipad, for example storing files to a usb pen or running flash video. You also can't upload photos to Hamster Central from the ipad photos location, for some unknown reason.
On the other hand, the apps store is amazing!

Re: Ipad
Yeah good point, an iPad doesn't replace an actual computer, but it's great working alongside one.

Re: Ipad
My friend has an i-pad but I refused to pay that much for one, so the one I got was a zenithink zt280 I think it was called and it had a larger screen with usb ports etc and even my friend admitted it was better than an Ipad as it did everything the Ipad done but it was better for the fact you could link it to a computer or laptop etc ....it cost £170 xxx
also you can run flash on it

Re: Ipad
If you already have a phone with Internet access you can link it to your iPad and save by not buying the 3G version.

Re: Ipad
I'm leaning towards getting one but then I'd also like to swap my htc wildfire phone for an iphone so that would be rather expensive!
I do have a netbook that works well so am having a think if I really need one.
Having said that I have been covering for a tutor I support whilst they are off and found out I will be getting teaching pay for those hours - only about 3.5 hours a week but it will add up so might use that money to get one.
Would get the ipad 2 I think as I saw both and yes the 3 has a better screen but I didnt think the difference was that great between the 2.

Re: Ipad
I have one and I use it ALL the time. I rarely even touch my laptop anymore because I can do everything right from here. I have an iPhone too so I especially love the iCloud feature. I have yet to purchase a data plan but haven't run into any problems with just the wifi version. Seems there's always a wifi connection nowadays! Anyway, definitely recommended.
