I had to do this for GCSE too, which was about 9 years ago now! I cant beleive that the syllabus hasnt changed! I really enjoyed it, but I am a bit of an english nut, it was my fav subect and what I wanted to do at uni. I think it has a lot to do with how it is taught to you and whop is teaching it, if they are inspired by it and have passion, then that will rub off on the class and you will find it more enjoyable. The book is better then the film though, but the film may help you to understand the book at bit better,
