oh Arti just explained that, though its our own chat room its linked into our service providers network so others may have the nicknames for other chatrooms - doh!
Arti has asked for any feedback over the next week or so - if useful he will update to a better chat host to be more like msn (allowing moderating - better messaging etc.) but if its no use then I will find him something more useful to do!
