My gentle giant
I figured it's about time I posted some pictures of my other pet aside from all the hamsters, my cat Cal, you may have seen a bit of him in some of the videos I posted but I thought a special kitty like him needs his own thread.
A little back story, I had been going through a rough time awhile back, and decided it was about time to get my own cat again, to have some company in my new apartment. The day I went to the shelter, I had already seen his picture online, but to be fair I actually looked at every other cat first before going to him. I'd all but convinced myself on this tiny little cat sweet as could be, but when I opened Cal's cage, he came right up to me, rubbing on me and the cage, purring up a storm, then out of nowhere jumped from the cage into my arms, and I knew he just picked me. He's quite the little goofball, he LOVES store bought toys with a passion, and he "talks" to me all the time. He's my special little guy (well not so little he's about 15+lbs) he reads me so well, and knows when I need an extra cuddle, or just a kitty in my lap to make me feel better. I love him more than I can put in to words. lol anyway on to the pictures!
His favorite way to sleep
And he loves snuggles
This is what I call the "catnip coma"
and a little video of my goof, who would rather play with his toys than pay any attention to the hamsters running about in their balls

Awww, such a good kitty to leave the hammies be. I love when they attack their toy and "kill" it.

Re: My gentle giant
thanks
I couldn't imagine having a nicer cat than him, and thats why I like going to shelters for my pets, I feel like they know you "saved" them, and tend to be more affectionate ect.

Re: My gentle giant
He's so cute!!! (Did you know I'm a total cat person? Lol.)
I know what you mean about being picked. Pixi and Tinkerbell picked my mum and me and then Combs immediately came into our lives and decided I was her person.
None of my cats have been bought, all of them are rescues. However my mother breeds cats and when, god forbid, my numbers go down a bit I'd consider taking a runt off of her hands.

Re: My gentle giant
LRP - Haha nope never woulda guessed you were a cat person Actually I've been eyeballing your one kitten white with the dark tail. If he goes missing...I swear it wasnt me!!
If I can manage it I'll try to get a video of him one of these days when he's in a super chatty mood, it's pretty funny.

Re: My gentle giant
Cambria? Poor Cammy!!! He'll be so confused. Everything confuses him. He looks like a white cat with his tail dipped in ink.
Yeaaa. Not many people know about my cat obsession. I don't talk about it much at all ...Or rather...Cats obsession with me. That's how I like to think about it. I don't get cats to come live with me. They decide to live with me and I just go with it!!!
If you put up a vid of him chatting I'll match you with a vid of Combs and her 'trilling'.
He's soooo sweet looking. I wanna smoosh his face. I love the smudge he's got.

Re: My gentle giant
Hahaha yes Cambria!! He's super cute!!
And I totally get what you mean about cats being obsessed with you, I feel the same way with them, if I could have gotten away with it I would have had 20 cats growing up, I can't even begin to tell you how many times I had cats follow me home when I was a kid lol
I've trying to get Cal to talk to me tonight I think he's camera shy!
