I voted 16+. I first started wearing mascara when I was 16, and then a couple of years later I would wear eyeshadow and eyeliner for special occasions, but no foundation or powder, and hardly ever any lip gloss.

I still don't wear foundation, and feel perfectly fine going out of the house without makeup on.

I used to play when I was young (from 11), but not foundation etc, just some shadow and eyeliner, and I didn't really go out, it was mainly just messing around in my room.
Around 14 I started wearing more, because I started caring about my appearance etc, and I don't regret it, it helped me to feel more confident which is really important to me.
Now I usually only wear eye makeup, because I have very short hair and otherwise I look too boyish.

I really don't understand why people like to look like an orange

Personally I wear a bit of powder foundation to cover up my spots (the palest possible for my paper white skin ) and mascara I see no problem in that at my age. It gives me confidence and makes me feel good about myself. But when your young and you have gorgeous spot free skin, theres really no need!

I never wear full out lip gloss or eyeshadow, even on special occasions, I'm just too lazy for that And my school would shoot you if you looked anything other than natural (which for some girls apparently is orange) x

I've never understood the orange either.. the worst is orange face, pale pink lips and white bodies..

hehe ^

i voted 16+, i mean im 14 and all i really wear is foundation and concealer, and some eye makeup.. sometimes i dont wear any at all. Any other stuff i just havefor special occasions, although even then i dont wear much!
fake tan just annoys me, i really dont understand what the attraction is towards orange legs and faces.. :/

Don't get me wrong, fake tan can give you a nice colour..and can even sometimes look quite natural.
But not up to a point where you look completely orange and just plain silly

I'm scared to use it anyway, just in case I look streaky and orange

I've never really bothered with make-up, but that might just be my gender.

Did anyone else see the film/documentary on Irish step dancing competitions last night on BBC2? The make-up, spray tan and WIGS were horrific. It was like those American child beauty pageants.

No, but I've heard about them!

It seem's the parents want it more than their kids do, especially in those beauty pageants.
