Re: appropriate age to wear full-on makeup?
I think the best thing my OH ever did was pluck my stray eyebrow hairs for me once.. I just really couldn't be bothered and he offered.
I remember from the picture of you from when you and AI went to the german christmas market that you have very slim brows.. I don't know how you have the patience. I do the bare minimum to give them some shape and get rid of the ever feared mono brow (thanks for that dad) and I use wax strips from superdrug to get rid of most of the hairs. Once I bleached them, just a lighter brown because I'd dyed my hair.. was awful when they started growing back though...multitonal .

Re: appropriate age to wear full-on makeup?
Oh eyebrows, how they tormented me! I was stuck with big old bushy ones which were a cause for teasing during high school. Got to the point where I became obsessed and overplucked again and again and again.
They've never come back properly, far too sparse and patchy so I gave up. Thanks to eyebrow stencils I can draw on my perfect brows every morning and I'm actually thankful I have no hair there now, it's soooooo much easier for me. I've become so good at it no one guesses my brows are fake these days

LOL!! I want a oh that will pluck my eyebrows for me!! How amazing is that!?
They are not super slim, but the shape has evolved over the years. I had mega bushy ones though, they were like two slugs sat on my face! They are really dark black, even though my hair is brown but hey ho! I remember when I first tried plucking them and how much it hurt and how red they went, and whether anyone would notice even though it was just a few hairs that I removed!

Re: appropriate age to wear full-on makeup?
I voted 16+
Kids seem to be getting younger and younger wearing it, I swear I've seen some in town that look about 9 covered in make up, it doesn't make them look older at all.
My friend always refers to them as 'prostitots'

Re: appropriate age to wear full-on makeup?
Kids seem to grow up faster .. lol when I compare what I was up to in my early teens with what is going on in my sons school (he is in middle school and there are kids doing drugs already.. makeup is the smallest issue) it is really ridiculous.
They really look silly wearing makeup and what some don't realize is that makeup prolonged use will wear your skin down. You will look older much earlier because bottom line, makeup products are not good for your skin. Wrinkles will come earlier and later that really matters Why ruin your skin so early ?
I started wearing makeup at about 17 and I am 41 now.. I never did wear a lot of makeup until I hit my 30s and my skin thanks me now.. I still look pretty good for my age
I have first hand seen the girls age with me that wore out their skin by overdoing the makeup thing in their teens.. and I am just glad that I did not do that to myself
Saying that, Lipgloss of course is fine and is intended to keep your lips healthy and moisturized
Oh and sunscreen lol wear lots of sunscreen
remember this son ?

Re: appropriate age to wear full-on makeup?
I actually really like makeup, but don't wear it on a daily basis (full face ONLY for special occasions - I do love eye makeup though that I'll wear most days - I didn't start wearing eyeliner until the age of 15 though and mascara at age 20). I feel makeup can mask someone, especially if applied too much or too colorful.. I voted 16+ because girls younger than that really don't need it! In the teen years the body goes through a lot of change and the skin can be one of the most sensitive because of hormonal changes so slapping on a layer of foundation doesn't make sense to me (I never used foundation until my wedding at the age of almost 23 lol I'll be turning 25 in October). For acne prone teens it's important to have an effective skin care regimen, instead of hiding it under layers of makeup, because makeup may cause more breakouts, and falling asleep with it on is a no-no for people who want clear skin! I believe in natural beauty and taking care of your skin. Makeup can be fun, but it shouldn't be a necessity, I admire every woman who can step out of the house with not a single ounce of makeup on and still look stunning! There you have it.. I have a very strong opinion on this subject and I already know, my future daughters are going to have a very very hard time with me, good thing I don't have any, ...yet! lol
