Unfortunately, my nannans dog which was about 14 years old, Bess, was put to sleep early August RIP Bess x
Last saturday my nannan and grandad adopted there new doggy He is from a rescue and is apparently a Border Terrier x *shrug* Whatever he is he's gorgeous :P He was originally called Clyde (because he had a friend called Bonnie but she was adopted and he was left behind ) but he didn't respond to that and it doesn't really suit him so he was renamed Murphy.
When he came home he looked like this; (sorry for blurry pics, it's because flash wasn't used in them)

This is him during the week, still smelly and scruffy but settling in well
He has now had a bath and been groomed (although he wasn't that happy about being gromed so it's still a bit long - more managable now! and less smelly ) so here he is today;
He's so lovely Really nice temperament and he loves his belly being rubbed hehe.
Oh Jane, Murphy is gorgeous - what an absolute sweetheart. Now I luurve scruffy dogs and so the first pictures are great....but what a difference - and how shiny his fur looks now!
I bet he is being spoilt rotten - and deservedly so. I think if he were mine he would soon end up the fattest dog in the universe from all the treats I would give him.
Give him a belly rub from me (does he do that thing where his back leg goes when you hit a certain spot?) I luurve that in doggies
Lol he was cute when all scruffy but he stunk and it was very matted and not nice so he's definately feeling a lot better with it cut
At the moment he is reallllly thin, he was pining for Bonnie and wasn't really eating...he also didn't really like the food they were giving him. When my grandparents gave him the food the shelter gave him he didn't eat it and if he did he wasn't well afterwards. He is now on a different food which he seems to be enjoying more so hopefully he'll be getting fatter soon...my grandad says my nannan will be at doggy weight watchers with him soon
lol you don't need to rub a certain spot for the leg to go up, he sees you and is straight on the floor with his leg up haha so cute tried to get a piccy of that but he always moved to lick my face haha
Yep he was staring at my grandad Apparently, so we were told..they were both owned by a couple, the couple split up, the man got the dogs but worked long hours and it wasn't fair to keep them. No idea if that is the true story but hey that's what we wer told.
lol he has stopped pining and is fine now :P the second he came out of his kennel he was a totally different dog
haha, don't think my nannan and grandad would be too happy to be called great grandparent haha XD

What a lucky puppy to be given a second chance with such lovely new parents. He is just adorable and so full of character. I am sure he will settle in well and will enjoy life to the full.
