how do a make an avatar. i tried going on my hamster central and modifying my profile, but i didn't see anywhere for avatars or signitures

To add an av you to My Hamster Central -> change my account settings then it's right at the bottom :P the signature bit is like in the middle too :P..but I don't think we have them here?? Well mine has never shown up lol

We resize our photos using photo shop Bunsey. If you haven't got a photo programme that will do this but have a picture you really want as your avatar, I'm quite happy to resize it for you and to then email it back to you for your use

Snuggleham and Smoo took the decision to remove the signature display from Hamster Central as we have the Profiles which are a lot better, and also this way threads aren't cluttered with sometimes huge and often distracting signatures. I personally prefer the clean look our threads have compared with some forums. I get fed up seeing the same thing over and over again and loads of tickers etc at the end of each post.
Our profiles are our place to put what would normally be in a signature plus a whole lot more. If you don't already have one set up please consider doing so, anyone whom reads this thread.

I'm with you Babyboos - some signatures can really be distracting and take up so much room - 1 line of text in a post then half a page of signature! I prefer it this way
