My first terrible eBay experience

So I've been making a scrapbook of my life for a few weeks now I have nothing to do whilst uni is out, and I was looking for page backgrounds on ebay. I found one with hamster wheels on and thought it was perfect for the pets section! So I bought it for $1.65 for 4 pages, roughly £1.05. Great, I thought. Postage wasn't clear at all, and from what I could gather it was $2. I had to request total from seller as the postage wasn't being displayed. So I did. Can you guess how much she wanted?

I honestly cannot believe that it would cost like £7 to post 4 pieces of paper from the US. So now I'm in a dilemma, I'm not prepared to pay that much for some paper, no matter how nice it is, and no doubt however peacefully I try to resolve the situation I will end up with my first bad feedback ever D:. I'm just so shock, and as stupid as it sounds I'm a little upset.

I know it does cost a helluva lot to post packages from the US. I bid for a game on ebay a few weeks ago, not a heavy package but the guy wanted $22 to post from the US to the UK.

strange.. I ordered something from America and it was only 3.00 and it was quite big too

Lucky for me the woman was very understanding and just cancelled the sale, I was worried for a while there lol

Sometimes you have really nice sellers on eBay who dont mind bending the rules whereas sometimes you have people who will not budge from the eBay rules. I have had a few bad experiences but after a while you just brush it off!!

Glad you sorted it out in the end though

eeek feel for you, but some sellers just dont combine postage, there are variouse reasons for this, one of them is that some sellers will lower a price, and make the profit on the item from the postage.
its really just a lesson to ask before you buy, and dont just assume they will combine postage unless it states it in the description.

glad it worked out well though, i take it no negative feedback received
