Turning nocturnal
The hamsters keep me awake so I go on the computer for half the night and curl up in bed at 4am, then I get 4 hours sleep. I normally listen to my ipod until I fall asleep with it still on, so how can I fall asleep with music on full blast and not with the hamsters scuttering around their cage? It makes no sense!!!
Ugh

Re: Turning nocturnal
Is it your wheels making the noise or something else? I find if anything keeps me awake, it`s either the wheel noise or the sound of bar chewing! I hav`nt got Boris in my room yet due to my large mouse cages taking up the available space, which is why I`ve bought a wodent wheel for him because I know the Trixie wheel he`s currently using would drive me insane!
Better to keep them well away from cats though. Never trust a cat.

Re: Turning nocturnal
I think a lot of us have this problem, I was brought to tears after lack of sleep on occasions and I've used my Ipod to fall asleep too.
Honestly 5 wheels going at the same time doesn't bother me nowadays as long as they are good silent ones
Sometimes its a case of trying different ones out

Re: Turning nocturnal
I have a silent spinner and flying saucer and they run so fast in it, it vibrates lol
Might try to weight down the wheel stand with a rock, and I don't trust them as far as I can throw them (the cats i mean haha)

Re: Turning nocturnal
I just make sure that Arrow has a silent wheel, and the wonderland is 100% silent since its wooden. In the start I thought the sound of her claws against the wood was REALLY annoying, but it simply confirms that the ham is liking the wheel I always have my Ipod on but that's because my brother watches loud action movies at 5AM So nightly sounds like running through bedding and such doesn't really bother me, but silent wheels is a must.
