I have gotten used to most of the noise Ruby makes! Except when she is going completely crazy bar chewing... I usually take her out then even if it is 3 in the morning or something! I usually listen to my Ipod anyway because I can never sleep ><

What our hamsters do to us, we give them love and attention, they give us sleepless nights xD

Living in the country hasn't helped me because it's dead silent at night unlike in town or near a busy road x

I love listening to Izuna-Wheatley as I'm going to sleep. I have a weird sleep pattern anyways depending on my creative flow but when I got used to all the noise since I lived in Kyoto and then London so there's always noise anyways.

Luppi, my robo, was particularly noisy but it just means they're happy. You do get used to it. XD

I know the feeling. I used to live right next to a commuter railway line, and I got used to sleeping through the heavy goods trains in the middle of the night. It was good preparation for sleeping in uni halls, too. Since moving out to the relative countryside though, on an estate mostly populated by older people, it's so damn quiet. And yet the hams wake me up.

I find it's easier in summer, when I can sleep with a fan on by my bed - the ambient repetitive noise really blocks a lot out, it's as if my sleeping brain focuses on that and ignores the other sounds. Great for sleeping through hamster activity, not so great if your boss tries to call you early in the morning...
