Please help- translation
Ok...i'm a little confused about this english..well i don't understand it XD
First the person wrote: "In big cages hamsters are dying away sleeping..."
That mean he think that hamsters in big cages have nothing to do and sleep all time, right?
But then he answers:
"what i mean is atleast ur hamster isnt sleeping allday until it duys at least it can adventure allday and stuff like my hamster sleeps like all day and night long i might get her a new cage or i might get a new hamster she is kind of mean lol"
Is this an english person? Well even to me the english sounds bad XDDD Please explain to me, what does he mean?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the stupid question! xD

I'm not English, either, but I think, Nappo, That you and I have a better English then this person. DO not try to understand this, it sounds like a very confused teenager to me, doing his/hers "cool" talk on you. I think even this person doesn't know what are they on about. Why would he/she think hamster would die sleeping because its in a big cage??? Honestly LOL
BTW, I am from Slovakia

Re: Please help- translation
No it doesnt make much sense to be honest! Took me a couple of reads to get what they meant! Was this a post on this forum?
I think he or she is saying that with the big cages the hamster has room to run about and play so doesnt just sleep all the time out of boredom. She or he then says that she might get a new cage for their hamster, but they might just get a new hamster as their current hamster is 'mean'

Re: Please help- translation
Im english too and I have no idea, The only thing I can think he means is that
Hes got a small cage and his hamster spends all day and all night sleeping, and if he buys a new cage his hamster might play some more rahter than just sleep. His hamster is mean so he might get a new one??????

I agree it's difficult to understand this even when English is your first language. I do think it's supposed to mean what Hope and Delbert say.

Re: Please help- translation
Hmm... Looks like someone with very bad English or the gibberings of an illiterate. Or someone who is on drugs. Possably both of the last two.
As far as I can understand it can be interpreted thus, this person has a small cage which the hamster is bored with and sleeps all day and night, unlike yours because you have a good cage, so they are thinking of either replacing the cage or replacing the hamster because the hamster is nasty to them.
Probably from lack of stimulation or care.
Poor little hammie.

Same here. Honestly, half the time I think people who learn English as a second language speak it better than people who've grown up with it. When it's your mother tongue there's so many idioms and colloquialisms of grammar, it gets really messy and incomprehensible. Don't get me started on text speak.
