This time of year in Maryland, elementary school students learn about Martin Luther King Jr. His philosophies of brotherhood, his ideas of equality, and how he strove to make the world a better place.
Well, a family friend of mine has a little 8 year old boy who was learning about MLK in school, and had a worksheet where he was asked questions like "What can you do to make the world a better place?" and "What would you like to have in the world?" to go along with the lesson of brotherhood and equality.
His answer to what he would like to have in the world? Flying hamsters.
I have to agree with him, I think flying hamsters would be pretty awesome. But he might have missed the point of the lesson
Also, his answer for what he can do to make the world a better place? Cleaning up the kitty litter.
