She has certainly left a big hole, her personality was just so lovely...this time of night is when its going to hit me the hardest for a while - it's when she usually gets up and I keep looking over to her cage expecting to see her sitting at her food bowl.

I will leave the cage in place for a while, but will eventually need to clean it out - I will explain to Mo that she is not confined to the cage anymore, and that she can roam the house as she pleases - I think i heard another member say that to their hammy before when they passed? I hope she doesnt see that as me forgetting her, but its got to be done eventually

Thanks again everyone for all the lovely words - it's so nice that Mo's character shone through in my words on here, and to hear that everyone felt something for her. I'll let her know again how really special she was xxxx

I'm so sorry to hear all this, but I really think she couldn't have had a more beautiful, happy forfilling life!
She was such a pretty girl and by the sounds of it lived life to the full with no regret.
Please take my deepest prayers and love to you at this hard time xxx

I know she will always be with you and look forward to the day you meet again

After reading this post I had to sit and read all the replies just to pull myself together, this has reduced me to tears, poor little Mo!
I hope her trip to the bridge was safe and pleasant for her.
My thoughts are with you and if you need to talk please PM me. Im sure Little Mo knows she will always have a place in your home and your heart, and she will be sitting at the bridge waiting to see you again to spend the rest of eternity together xxx

REPORTING FROM THE BRIDGE

Little Mo here, reporting from the bridge. What a ride! The first thing I have to tell you is that all the hammie buddies that have been here for awhile met me in in this cool place. When I opened my eyes I could see beautiful colors. This can't be planet Earth, I figured, so they told me all about Rainbow bridge. It sounded wonderful, but I was embarrassed to get up incase I had trouble walking again. After being reassured by my new buddies, I did get up, Suddenly, my feet began moving, and I was frolicking with everyone. There are others here, too, but we hammie buddies like to hang together.
There is a place to get food whenever we want, which I immensely enjoy, and no one says I have to watch my figure. There's even chocolate here, and coffee. Cool, beautiful streams wind around, the grass is sooo green, and flowers so huge I can roll in them! There's so much to do and see here, and so far, no fighting. Even the other pets are friendly to us. Try to talk with a cat on earth, and all they do is yell and threaten to eat me. I never liked swimming before, but the fish are friendly, and love to talk. I've got to keep this short, 'cuz it's almost time for group sun bathing.
At night when we sing, our squeaks are admired by all. My legs feel like they did when I was a young
pup. We have some youngsters here, and taking care of them is going to be my job. I'm so excited. I never got to have any of my own, so now I get to be a mommy to these little characters.
The only thing missing is my earth family. I do miss them, but the others tell me I'll be seeing them again one day, when they come to get me at the Bridge, so I'll be waiting! I can feel a strange tugging at my heart strings, and I think it's my Mom's heart. I wish I could make her understand that I'm Ok now, and I know how much she loves me. I know she was so kind to me, and that humans aren't all unkind. Usually we're not allowed to write from here, but there are exceptions to the rules. Others have told me about that tugging thing, but it goes away after awhile. I'll never forget my Mom or Dad, but life takes us on many journeys. I just wish my Mom could feel my hammie hugs and love from this place. We all wish our families from earth could feel us still loving them. Well buddies, don't be afraid when your time comes, 'cuz it just gets better. Taking care of hoomins is a lot more complicated than this place, but we never forget them, and look forward to when we can all be together again.
Our creator is amazing, and can do anything, so hang in there!
Love, squeaks, and whiskery kisses
Little Mo xxxx

What a lovely post; it's nice to think of Mo rolling around in a flower, and of all the hammies playing together, enjoying themselves while they wait for us. I think you have found your vocation Princess Rhi!

Rhi...I cannot thank you enough for your post. I have tears streaming down my face but I am somewhat comforted after reading that. It certainly sounded like Mo writing, as everything said sounds just like what she'd say - in her upbeat, bright little outlook on things

You really are kind and I know Mo has gone to a beautiful place, but still is there looking over me making sure I am ok now Thanks again xx

You are more than welcome, I know how much Mo meant to you, and how hard it is losing her, she touched all our hearts here at HC and I thought you deserved something special as you were unable to say a proper goodbye. Maybe you could plant some forget-me-nots in her plant pots, she will be able to pop back and have a roll around in them too xxx Take care shazzy xxx
