Default Sleep well, Cookie

Our beautiful hamster, Cookie, passed away in her sleep earlier this week. We are not sure of her age but we adopted her nearly 2 years ago from a rescue centre so we think she was at least 2.5 years. She was a real character and seemed to genuinely enjoy interacting with us - often when I popped in to see her in the evening she’d be waiting by the cage door for me and she loved coming out to explore.

She’d been neglected by her previous owners and was wary of people, and a hardcore chewer, but these traits all but disappeared after a few months with us and she grew to be very tame and friendly.

We’re so glad we got the chance to bring such a gorgeous little fluffball into our lives. Sleep well, Cookie. You’ll be with us, always.

Ours died in January. After a few months we decided to get a cute little winter white hamster! Just got him Friday. It sucks they live such short lives but it sounds like you gave yours a happy, contented life!
