RIP Monty
Sadly, i found our Robo Monty dead inside his coconut hide this morning.
I knew something was wrong when i saw his nightly portion of fresh food untouched so went looking for him.
I noticed a few days ago that he had lost weight very quickly but couldn't see anything obviously wrong that needed a vet when i took him out for a health check.
Monty was only around 17 month old but i suppose his time had come to join all the others at the rainbow bridge.
You will be missed little man.

Re: RIP Monty
I am so sorry Ria. That must have been a shock. It's touching that he went to his favourite hide as his final resting place. Play well little Monty. Our previous robo died just over 18 months as well. Although robos are technically supposed to live longer than Syrians I think it's breeding and genetics. If he'd lost weight he probably had something serious. At least it was quick x

Re: RIP Monty
Thank you all for your kind words.
I'll never know what killed Monty but poor genetics in hamsters bred in hamster mills are all too common.
We buried him inside his coconut coffin.
