Default Goodnight Meadow <3

I have not been on this forum for a long time, however my beloved hamster Meadow passed on January first. <3

I can't believe I am posting this, I never knew this day would be so soon. Today I found my beautiful girl curled up in her forever sleep.

January first was Meadow's first birthday, but sadly it was also her last. I am honestly shocked, I never knew it would be so soon and sudden, there was no warning of her death. It makes me happy to think, however, that Meadow passed in her sleep, free of pain and became an angel on her first birthday.

Meadow was such a unique hamster, she was my first ever hamster and she taught me so much. To many people she just looked like a normal hamster, but she was so friendly and sociable, she used to love human interaction unlike many other hamsters. Meadow used to love sitting calmly on my shoulder, or in my sleeve or running around my bed. She had such a charming personality, she had so many little quirks which her made her so special and unique.

I feel so honored to have been Meadow's owner, an owner such a beautiful and charming little hammy. Meadow gave me so much love, sometimes I feel she gave me more than I gave her.

It feels so strange without her, without the sound of her wheel, which used to annoy me I find it hard to sleep. The air feels so still and quiet without her.

Meadow will never be forgotten, she was hamster in a million and will always have a special place in my heart.

Fly high my little angel.

I am so sorry for your loss and not surprised about the way you feel. All hamsters are special but sometimes we meet one who bonds with us in a way we never thought possible.
Meadow had this special bond with you.
Play well at the bridge Meadow.

So sorry for your loss, I know what you mean about the pitta-patta noise on the wheel missing, suddenly it is replaced be a deafening silence. She sounds like she was a very special hamster with a great owner, you gave her an amazing life. I hope you’re able to find some peace, best wishes and play well little Meadow x

Meadow sounded like a very special little girl and I'm so sorry to hear she passed at such a young age.
I can tell how much she meant to you and you have such precious memories of your time together that you will cherish forever.
Take care of yourself.
Sweet dreams little Meadow.
