Default RIP Ozzy

Ozzy's health has been deteriorating for a while but with the help of metacam he kept going. He had bad days when he fell over just to pick up again next day to show us that there was life in him yet.

This morning he kept falling over and couldn't upright himself without my help because he had lost the use of his back legs. Ozzy even struggled to his door which was very unlike Ozzy who was known for ignoring humans from the day i brought him home as a baby.

Just for once in his life Ozzy asked his human for help so i reassured him that help was on its way and phoned the vet.

This may be my imagination but i'm a firm believer that our hamsters communicate their needs to us and 22 months old Ozzy was ready to go to the rainbow bridge with a little help from his human life companion.

Play well at the bridge my dear friend.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.
Ozzy was a very special little character. I agree that they do know how to tell us when the time has come. Not everyone hears them so I'm glad you did x
Run free at the bridge Ozzy x

So sorry for your loss, I know Ozzy hasn’t been well for a while and if there was that much struggle, at least he can be at peace now. Play well Ozzy <3
