My darling little Russian boy passed away this afternoon.
He had suffered quite a bad stroke 2 nights ago, I had found him only able to move around on one of his legs and so weak he couldnt hold his head up. I tried my hardest to keep him comfortable, trying to hand feed him and give him water but he just wouldn't have any of it.
This morning I checked up on him and he was still barely alive, I told him it was OK for him to go. In the evening when I had got back he was already gone
I had accepted he was going to go very soon...but so much more upset when I had to pick up his tiny cold body to put him in his Pets at Home box he came in which was now going to be his coffin.
My Dad has kindly said he will bury him back home in his box. He'll be buried with one of his favourite chew toys which I put in the box with him.
He was approximately 13 months old.
You will be missed dearly, my little furry golfball. You always used to make me laugh when you went a little to fast in your wheel and how you always used to pick out the sunflower seeds in your harry hamster mix and never eat anything else until all the seeds were gone. Or when you used to roll around in your sandbath and couldnt always roll back round again. You made things easier when I was going through my breakup with my ex boyfriend cos you were there to cheer me up with your silly hamster antics.
