Re: Rupert Bear
I'm so sorry barley *hugs*
It's always very hard to have to make that choice for them but he was a good age & had a great life with you, you gave him the last gift of love & he is at peace now.
Rupert was a lovely little man & I always enjoyed seeing your photos of him & sharing a little in his life.
I know he must have meant a lot to you & been that bit extra special being your first ham for some time & you'll miss him very much, a great little character who will live forever in your heart.
Run free & play well at the bridge Rupert Bear.

Re: Rupert Bear
Barley, so sad for you at this news. When I read about Rupert's symptoms and the fact that baytril had done no good, I did fear that it was cushings. My Mocho has been diagnosed with cushings but had to have a blood test last month as the best diagnostic tool. He is on daily meds and has a review tomorrow as I mentioned. If it was cushings that Rupert had then it was the best and most loving decision you have made. It has nothing to do with the care we give these little ones but the time comes when the quality of life has gone. My heart goes out to you as I know how much you love and care for your pets.
Play well at the bridge Rupert. Big hug for you barley.

Re: Rupert Bear
Sorry to hear about poor little Rupert, he was a good hammy age, he was loved and no doubt gave love in his own way...
Do not regret your decision it was the right one for Rupert, go and cause chaos where ever you are little dude..
Hugs to you too Barley
