This is our girls final resting place. Such a hard thing to do.
I have a little name plaque on order too. I hardly slept last night thinking of her out there alone in that awful wind and rain.

Not a problem Lady J, I just wish there were more we could do to help in this sad time. The support & understanding on here is fantastic, we should be very proud to be part of such a lovely community.

It's strange about the timing, I thought the same with Digger. I went to check on him on a Sat afternoon, a time he'd usually be fast asleep. He managed to hold on about 5min after we took him out of the cage & held him. I was running around looking for the glucose tablets to crush & drip feed him & had just got it ready when my OH said he was passing. He did a little stretch of his legs & then passed, held in the warmth of his hand. It still upsets me to think of him going but I am so grateful that he gave us the chance to be with him to say bye. You had those special moments with your Jocci & I think that's worth more than anything we can express. I'm sure she was equally happy you were there, she trusted you to come and check on her & I think they have an instinct that's far better than ours.

The place you've chosen is lovely, such a pretty pot. The name plaque is a good idea, where did you order it from?
She'll be ok, she's in your thoughts & in your heart. Hammies are tough little buggers, she's probably looking down at you & chewing nonchalantly! Or cleaning herself. That's what I imagine ours are doing.

Such a delightful final resting place, so pretty for your pretty girl. A name plaque is a lovely idea. I hope that you and Lily will be able to look at it and smile remembering your special girl and the love you shared.

I'm so sorry I've been following Jocardi's story, although I haven't said anything, and the whole time there was nothing but love for her in your posts. Your tribute brought a tear to my eye too! She will sleep well, knowing how loved she was xx

I'm so sorry about lady jocardi. How lovely you held her just before. I think the fact she waited for you and took her leave when she chose to tells you you didn't leave her too long. She went at the right time for her. Bless her, a little pickle. Wherever she is now she will be free of pain with nothing to hold her back from being herself hugs x
