Oh Nugget,
He was a blessing from day one. It had taken me years to convince my mom for a hamster. It was my fifteenth birthday, I was at chipotle with my three closest friends. I convinced my mom, finally. At that moment, I was finally getting what I wanted for years. We went to petco and the second I laid eyes on him, I knew he was for me. He was white and orange, and as small as could be. I didn't even have to hold him to know he was the one for me. We took him home, showered him with unconditional love until his last breath. I loved my Nugget. He was my best friend. He was a hamster like no other. He would fall asleep on my chest as I told him stories. We took photos together and he would always lick me. He was okay with everyone else but he knew who his mommy was. When he saw me he would squeak until I picked him up. He loved his treats I would get him for Christmas. He ran on his wheel and kept me up all night but I would stay up every night just to see him again. He was old and sick at the end, with tears I said goodbye and when I hugged him one last time all the memories came back. Momma misses you nugget. You were worth all those years I had to wait. it was for a reason. I love you. Goodnight. Enjoy your time in heaven and no matter where you are right now, know I'll always be your mommy. Please hug your hamsters extra tight for you will never know when the end is. Enjoy their love every second.
