Goodnight Milly
Yesterday my sweet Milly passed away aged 25 months. I rescued Milly from a bad petshop near to where I live when she was 5 weeks old. I remember looking in the tanks and seeing all the boys together and in the tank next door was Milly all by herself and half the size of her brothers.
Obviously the runt of the litter I took her home and started to feed her up to make her big and strong. But she never did get any bigger and stayed a 2.5 inch Syrian. The tiniest Syrian I’ve ever seen. What she lacked in size was made up for in character. She was really shy to start with but over time she got braver and wouldn’t shoot back up the tube when she heard me enter the room.
Milly was dainty, a proper girl who walked with purpose on those tiny paws. A pretty cream banded with lovely dark red eyes who was gentle and friendly.
I really will miss her, even after all these years of having hams their characters still amaze me.
Sweet dreams Milly, I’m glad I could share your life with you. xxx
Here is a picture of her in an 8 inch wheel!
