Default Molly

Sleep well little girl. Molly died last monday after failing to shrug off a chest infection. What I never prepared myself for was the total feeling of devastation that followed. Molly was heading toward 2 years old, so we knew she was getting a old lady, but you would not have thought it with her antics.

We would let her have the run of the lounge and everywhere she wanted to go, generally a spot of stair climbing and jumping off furniture, we her favourites . I cannot believe the massive void she has left and cannot bring myself to replace her yet, although may well do in future.

Seems a bit daft, but me and my Molly had a special bond as I bought her when I was suffering depression and she kind of became my outlet and would always snuggle into me or give a reassuring lick on my face. Sometimes she would climb all over me and go nose to nose with me.

The funniest moment was when one night my wife heard scratching in the tissue box next to her bed. frightened she turned on the lamp and there was molly, having got out of her cage downstairs, off the table up the stairs and into the bedroom. We are still amazed at how she managed this.

Sorry for waffling
