Goodbye Crinkles - I can't believe you've gone

I have an awful announcement to make.....

We woke up this morning to the most devastating discovery of my life. One of our 3 and a half week old babies, the BEC rex boy was led dead in the corner of the cage with no sign of illness or injury at all.
He was the most special little boy who had a wonderful home lined up with Souffle and Pophammy, who i know are just as devastated as we are; so this is a joint memorial between alphabet hams and custard hams.

I am so sorry Crinkles, you were far to young to die. I wish you could have seen a bit more of life and met your new mummy who I know has been eagerly awaiting your arrival.

Rest In Peace my precious little one, you will be greatly missed.

Poor little Crinkles. Rest in Peace little one.

I guess if he died this young then there could have been something wrong with him though, in which case then I suppose it's best he died young, but it's still really sad

We have had a very sad day. Finding little Crinkles this morning was devastating.
He was such a little character already and had seemed fine yesterday evening. He was eating OK. He did seem a little quiet at one point, but they all have their quieter moments, so we didn't think anything of it.
He was dearly loved by both Mollz and I, and although they hadn't met, I know cherished by Pophammy and Souffle.

He has gone to join our other precious little ones in the garden.
RIP little Crinkles, we're sorry you weren't with us longer.

I am so sorry Mollz and Mollz mum for your loss which is shared and felt as deeply here. Even though Crinkles never came home to us here he will always be part of our memories. He was much wanted and given with love. Mollz gave him his first cuddles and we gave him his first cuddles through the ether. His life was short but filled with gentleness and love and he went to sleep secure with his family. Sometimes things work out so sad and you wonder why. I would like to thank Molly and Emma for giving us Crinkles and I know he is now safely adopted at the bridge by our girls Barley, Bailey, Red and Sonni who will look after him for now
Play well sweetheart and let Bailey cuddle you tight.

What a lovely tribute Souffle, I'm sure he is in good hands up at the bridge with the girls to look after him. I can just see Bailey in all her Cinnamon glory giving him a gentle squeeze and telling him to run free. Bless him.

I'm really sorry about poor Crinkles. We were really looking forward to his arrival. He was a beautiful little man, and obviously given the greatest care and attention by Molly and Emma. Even though we never got to meet him, he was much loved by all at Custard Hamstery as well as the Alphabet hams.

R.I.P little Crinkles, we will always love you.
