Default R.i.p Coco<3

Hey guys, I'm new here & I just need some help answering questions. Just yesterday my teddy bear hamster coco has passed on, I only had him for a year & 2 months, he was very healthy, active, & very loveable. A week ago though, I went to see him & I saw him just laying on the bottom of his cage not moving, (he had never done that) & I went to pick him up & he was barely alive & wouldn't move. So I got a towel & wrapped him in it & just held him. After about 45 minutes he finally perked up & went back to his normal self! But then on Sunday night I went to give him food & I checked on him, he was still fine. In the morning before school I went to see if he took his food, which he did not. So sometime during the night after I left is when he passed on.. Does anyone have any idea why this happened? Before last weeks incident he showed no sign of illness! This has been EXTREMELY traumatic for me..

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We never really know when a little one will be called to the bridge and for what reason. It does sound like something suddenly gave out and he had either a heart attack or a stroke which led to him passing very quickly. The previous incident was likely a warning that something was weakening.
Play well at the bridge Coco x

I'm really sorry, I can add no more to what Souffle has said, sometimes they will pass on so much earlier than we would hope for . Coco looks absolutely lovely, play well little one xx
