Thank you all for such lovely messages, there very comforting right now. She was such a little character! I'm really glad that it seems like she went peacefully as it was heart breaking to think she didn't. She certainly was loved so much, i'm sure Clumsy would love to see all these caring comments.

I just cant help but keep thinking about them last minutes though, was so hard to watch, I've never had anything die in my hands before never mind something that ment so much to me. She looked so scared just before it was all happening.

I also cleaned out her cage last night as I couldn't bare seeing it still exactly how she had it e.g. half eaten seeds/treats, foot prints in her sand, it was killing me so I had to do it! Now seeing an empty cage doesn't help evea..

Both my first hamster, Fluffy, and most recently Jasmine died in my hands. While it is an absolutely heart wrenching thing to witness, I like to think that the comfort of our love offers them some strength on their way to the bridge. Clumsy was lucky to be surrounded by someone who cared for her so deeply, as she passed. Fluffy, Jasmine, Roxy, and Cheeto will look after her. xx

Thanks GG, All I keep telling myself is that atleast she could go gently and loved whilst me holding her, especially as she couldn't find anywhere in her cage to be peaceful or comfy, she just kept falling over and sleeping upside down in the sand bath because she didn't have the energy to turn her self around.

I'm sure Clumsy will be munching lots of treats & playing happily with your little one's now! My hearts slowly amending now the more time go's on and I think how much happier she will be with no pain from that evil illness.
