Kiwi
My beautiful little Kiwi (campbell) died last night. I held him in my hand stroking him for 3 quarters of an hour before he gave up. He was somewhere between 2 years 1 month and 2 years 4 months we think. He was my first rescue hamster and I have lots of happy memories from him.
My friend, who looks after my hamsters when I'm away, cried when I texted her to tell her. I have a very good hamster sitter.

Re: Kiwi
How lovely that you were able to share a long goodbye, and even more lovely that you have a friend who understands and shares your grief - I imagine very few of us have that, you are very lucky. Rest well little Kiwi x

Re: Kiwi
Thanks. You lot are all so very nice.
I find it hard to post on other peoples hamsters 'memorial' threads as there are so many and it's quite upsetting really. I know, I'm pathetic, I know how much it means yet I find it difficult to do.
Thanks. I appreciate all your comments.

Re: Kiwi
It's not pathetic at all, some people find these things easier than others, and it is no reflection on how much you care.
I'm so glad you were able to help Kiwi pass surrounded by love, play well little one xx
