Farewell Arnie

I'm sad to say that I've just discovered that my darling robo boy Arnie has passed away - peacefully in his sleep.

Arnie was my first ever robo - he came from a rescue and was already at least 1 year old when I got him, maybe older. It took months for him to get used to me, but he did and became quite happy to sit on my hand and would come up and snuffle my fingers if I put them in his cage.

Arnie leaves behind a "wife", Sylvester - who I recently paired up with him. They were blissfully happy together and it was only recently that I posted a photo of the happy couple "on honeymoon" together. I'm fairly confident that Sylvester is pregnant by Arnie - she's much rounder, her nipples are quite prominent and she's nesting a lot. Poor Sylvester. I had high hopes for her second litter to be shared with a proud father (she was a single mum for her first litter as she came to me already pregnant) but it appears she will be going through raising any babies on her own yet again.

I loved my little "Arnster" with all my heart and I'm sorry to see him go. He'll be missed terribly. R.I.P. my darling little Arnie.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss ELC. Arnie was a real little character and brought a little sparkle into your life. His little ones will mean you always have a little bit of Arnie.
Rest in Peace Arnie and play well at the bridge.
