Default RIP Patch

My beautiful, adorable, fantastic boy, left for the bridge in the early hours of this morning. I am devastated & heartbroken.
Losing any of my hams is extremely hard but I must admit this is the worst I have ever felt. Patch was only 6 months old.
He suddenly became ill on Saturday evening by Sunday he was already on his way to the bridge. The Vet thinks it was something genetic or internal.

Patch came into my life after my sweet squeaky Pebbles had passed. He lived his short life at a million miles an hour. I have never had such a hyper hamster. I never had to tame him, he was just friendly from the off.

He'd awake at 5pm every evening & as soon as I opened his cage door he'd climb out himself. Such a character. He always had at least an hour out free roaming & then a run in the bath playpen.

I'm lost already without him & it hurts like hell. Just feel numb.

He was hard to photograph because he was so fast but when I did catch him on the rare occasions he was still, well he was stunning. xx

My last ever photograph only taken on Thursday. It's awful how you can have a healthy ham one minute then a seriously ill one the next.

Bye my angel I'll miss you forever. You may of only spent a few months with me, but you were so loved & cherished xx

I am so very sorry Rach It is so very hard to lose one so young. He touched your heart and is there now in his place as it should be. He lived a lifetime in his short life and packed everything in so never fear that he did not enjoy his time to the full because he had it all.
Play well at the bridge Patch - no doubt you will be keeping all the seniors on their toes up there x
