Hi Josh I am so sorry to hear about Beans, wetail is very hard to treat even the vets have trouble trying to treat it. Wetail is one of those things got in the very early stages there is more of a possibly that it will get cleared but after that unfortunatly alot of time it will kill.
I had a hamster a few years ago die of wetail I was devastated. Do yuo have any other hammies? If you do you need to wash your hands in between each hamster also the cage beans was in would be best not using again as it can stay dormant. There is an incubation period of about 2 weeks in which another hamster my get wetail so you need to keep an extra eye on any others also do not bring anymore new hams in.
I am really sorry about Beans and about saying this I don't like saying it but needs to be said for the best.
Sarah x

Oh Josh, how sad to hear Bean has passed away. You cared for her and did everything you could to help, but wet tail is such a serious illness. I'm sure Bean knew you were trying so hard to help.
Sleep well little Bean x
