Thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts, it has been a difficult couple of days and it helps to know there are people wishing you well. It is very sad here in the hamster room, first Peaches and now Berry - empty shelves.
Thanks also to the friends I was frantically PMing yesterday for advice, who helped me come to what I am sure was the right decision. You know who you are and I am very grateful.
This is Berry the day I collected her from her breeder, aged 6 weeks. I was so proud of her and love this photo because it captures her perfectly, a shiny ball of fluff.
