Harriette passed away sometime last night. On monday she'd had another stroke, after pulling through completely from the last one. She was dragging her back leg. I hoped she'd pull through again. I put her back in her cage and she went straight in her hut. Tuesday night i checked in the hut and as i moved the bedding she squeeled (she does that) so i just left her. The next time i saw her was tonight, dead. I really wish i'd lifted her out last night, cos now i never get to cuddle her again.
I waited a month to collect her from the rescue centre on 6th December. 6 weeks after coming her she had the first stroke. It seems so unfair for her happiness to be taken away after she'd waited so long. This wasn't meant to happen, she was meant to be happy here for a lot longer than that
Oh Bunsey I'm so sorry. Poor Harriet, at least she came to a loving home for her final few weeks and you were able to offer her that much.
RIP Harriet.
It is so cruel when they are taken away from us well before their time but she spent the rest of her life with someone who cared for her and loved her very much.
RIP Harriette x

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Bunsey. Harriette touched all our hearts with her fighting spirit and her gentle patient nature. She would not want you to be sad or bitter for what you gave her in her twilight times was worth a lifetime of love and happiness. RIP Harriette and say hello to Red. Play well till we meet again.
so sorry to hear your news Bunsey. We were all hoping poor Harriette would pull through. Your right she should have had more time with you after her rough start, but at least she got a quality of life in those weeks with you that I am sure, made up for the hard times before that.
Sleep soundly little Harriette x
