Farwell, little Daisy
It is with great sadness that I write this, but my little girl Daisy had to be put to sleep this evening.
She had been unwell recently, but perked up no end after some antibiotics and was back running around being her cheeky self. However, last night she seemed quite a bit weaker, and today I heard her moving around her cage mid afternoon - she was restless and her breathing heavy. She wasnt moving very well either and had trouble moving round the cage.
I knew she wasnt right so made an appointment with the emergancy vet. She could tell her breathing was very bad, and suspected a mass somewhere. A feel of her tummy showed it to be quite swollen. 3 options were given - to leave her in and try to bring her round, to send her to a specialist for tests, or to have her pts. I chose the latter, knowing that she was getting old at 21 months, and was quite weak. The vet was very kind and I stayed with her while she passed.
I have put her in a little box wrapped in tissue and some fleece so she is comfy - she also has her corn dolly and a seed chew with her. tomorrow I will buy her a pot to bury her and pop her in the garden alongside Mo.
This is to you my little girl. You came to me after a year of living with a not so nice family. I gave you a nice large cage and lots of love. I hope what I offered you made up for your not so good start to life.
You were a fighter, a plucky little girl that always had a cheery little personality whatever you had to go through. It took time, but your leg healed and we were back to exploring the house again - which you loved.
I loved seeing how much you enjoyed your nightly runabouts. I'm sorry I never let you behing the computer desk, no matter how hard you tried
Recently I brought Darcey into our home too. you seemed interested in her - I hoped you didnt see her as a threat.
Ive brought you home, although your little spirit is free and painfree at rainbow bridge now. It's lovely up there, so I hear. Go find Little Mo, she'll show you all the wonderful places to enjoy.
I really hope you enjoyed your short time with me as much as I loved having you here. You will be very much missed and forever in my heart.
Run free, darling Daisy xx

Awww Daisy you little angel, I know from deep in my heart how much mummy is going to miss you, you were her world, and she provided with the most wonderful forever home you could have ever wished for, I hope that you are care and pain free at the bridge, I dont think it will be long before my Maisie will be joining you and I would like to ask if you would take her under your wing like your mummy did for you.
Play well at the bridge sweetpie you will be reunited with mummy one day. All my love to you Shaz you are in my deepest thoughts. xxxx

Re: Farwell, little Daisy
I am so sorry to hear this, your tribute to her was really moving, and I'm sure she loved every second she was with you,
I'm sure darcey will keep you company, and make sure you're ok, and little mo and daisy will look down on you and her and make sure you're ok.
RIP Daisy, I'm sure there's somewhere you're not supposed to go at the rainbow bridge which you can sneak behind.
